A Weekend In Mentone You Will Not Want to Miss! Mentone Area Arts Council Presents Splendor in September Labor Day Weekend  Saturday, September 3, 2011 Sunday, September 4, 2011 Mentone, Alabama The Mentone Area Arts Council is pleased to present its Spendor in September Art Show to be held on Labor Day weekend, Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th in Mentone, Alabama.   Labor Day weekend is one of Mentone’s busiest weekends as visitors from all over the southeast descend upon Mentone to enjoy the summer’s end in clear and refreshing mountain air. The Art Show will be held on the grounds of the Mentone Inn in downtown Mentone. The Show will run from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, and 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Sunday. The charge for participating in this Show is only $20. That’s almost free these days and you can’t beat that. You will be assigned a general location for your booth and setup is on a first come, first serve basis at the assigned location. The Show will be advertised throughout the region and a large turnout for the Show is anticipated. Please reserve your place in the Show by emailing Rhonda Howell, Show Coordinator for the Mentone Area Arts Council at rhonda@waltersforge.com. Organizational Meeting of the Lookout Mountain Photography Club Postponed

It is a busy time of the year and many of you have commitments that cannot be avoided.  We received over a dozen requests from those of you who were going to be unable to attend the organizational meeting of the Lookout Mountain Photography Club this Friday but wanted to attend.  In response to these requests to reschedule the meeting, we have decided to postpone our initial meeting until Friday, January 15, 2009, at 6:30 PM at the Mentone Inn.

If you are planning to attend this meeting, I would appreciate your emailing me at nealwhitt@aol.com so that I can get some organization information to you for your consideration prior to the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you in January.
