Cloudland Canyon Evergreen Sapling Photograph

I’m forever amazed at how different species of plants adapt to the harsh conditions of rocky mountain life. This little sapling caught my attention and interest as I considered its economy of nutrients and lack of soil. A hardy little fellow I would say, to be able to exist in such a barren spot.
