Daybreak Lily Original Oil Painting

As it started to dawn early one morning while I was coming back from the barn I noticed this beautiful lily as the first rays of the sun come over the horizon filling the landscape with beautiful light. I loved the flower’s pink almost purplish color in the sun’s early light. I decided it was a must have image and run in the house to grab my camera; just getting a shot before the light that was hitting its petals moved on leaving it in the shadows of the large trees around it.

Flowers are such a treat to paint with their beauty and personality, so was Daybreak Lily which I think has a beautiful perspective and a nice rhythm flowing through it.
