6th Annual Southeastern Cowboy Festival and Symposium

 

Don’t forget this weekend!!!

 

Boyd Greene Fine Art has been honored with an invitation to show at the 6th Annual Southeastern Cowboy Festival and Symposium October 25-26, 2008 at the Booth Western Art Museum. 

One part of the show will be a Western Marketplace: vintage clothing, saddles, leather carving, leather belts, old time photos, metal-works, western furniture, etc.

Entertainmentwill include a Gunfight Reenactment of the legendary fight at the O.K. Corral, singer Doc Stovall, Doc Johnson’s Medicine Show, Jim Dunham gunfight skits and classic draw contest and East Meets the West Productions Jim Sawgrass – Big Mountain Family Indian Dancers.

East Meets West/Native American Indian Village:Native Americanitems such as jewelry, blankets, beading, baskets, bow and arrows, etc.

Step Back in Time/ Pioneer & Civil War Encampment: Pottery being made, lye soap making, basket weaving, chair caning, primitive antiques and many other items.

Art Under the Oaks:Paintings, sculpture, painted gourds, carvings, etc. Many artists will be demonstrating and showing how their masterpieces are created.

This will be the section Boyd Greene will be showing his graphite, ink and oil fine art works.

Children’s Area: pony rides, art activities especially for children in Cowpoke Corner.

Hours will be Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm.
